Digital Active Online announces the launch of the new Michigan Beachtowns website (www.beachtowns.org).
The website is the online presence of Michigan’s Beachtowns Inc., an association of nine lakeshore convention & visitors bureaus. The site offers information each of the beach towns and links to the member websites. The site also celebrates an historic roadway that was the first continuous paved road from Chicago to Mackinaw City. The West Michigan Pike was completed in 1922 and opened west Michigan to automobile tourism.

The creative work was a group effort as the site features slideshows, music and videos. With captivating photographs by the Internationally acclaimed Vince Musi, the site entertains as it informs tourists or those reminiscing of the golden days of automobile travel. In partnership with the State of Michigan, Beachtowns has launched advertising campaigns in Chicago, Indianapolis and Michigan. The videos featured on the website are a montage of images, both nostalgic and modern, set to original music.  Also featured is a radio spot from the wonderful Pure Michigan campaign. The spot, "Lake Effect", is narrated by actor and Michigan native Tim Allen.

Digital Active Online is proud to have created the website for Beachtowns and hopes travelers will visit Beachtowns.org and the Beachtowns of the West Michigan Pike.
